When your passion is food and wine, how can it get better than being in wine country–and by saying wine country, Napa Valley?!
I had that pleasure recently, at the annual Napa Valley Vintners Wine Educators conference, along with other wine educators from around the world. We were truly wined and dined by the top Napa vintners and experienced exceptional educational seminars that were hosted by Karen MacNeil at the Culinary Institute of America.
Imagine having 10 top rated Napa Cabernet’s for breakfast, and then experiencing lunches and dinners with Napa’s world famous vintners with their wines, and a comparative tasting of a 1966 Charles Krug with their current vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon?
Well, it took my breath away, and there were so many other experiences that helped define what Napa really is all about. Forget the glitz and glamour; we’re talking grape growing, farming and lots of wine making history, with a very strong sense of community. If you’ve not made the trip, you should, it will make you proud of our nation’s most prestigious wine-making community.
So, I thought I should share my experience with you, it was truly exceptional, enjoy!

Imagine sipping these vintages along with the winemaking families? Each was compared against the current release of 2008 for each winery

Our 1st lunch served at St Supery front yard under the Napa Oaks, Salad in a mason Jar and amazing Napa Sauvignon Blancs.
